Description

Guidelines

Students Must Be:

  1. A resident of San Bernardino or Riverside Counties, preferably who have family ties to this region (are from this region)
  2. From a family with low socioeconomic status or low income
  3. First generation to attend graduate school
  4. A member of an underrepresented population in the discipline
  5. From priority populations for equity and access to health professions education


School Responsibilities

To Receive Community Benefit Dollars:

  1. Max Request: $20,000 per school (this would mean awarding $40,000 worth of scholarships as each school must match its request).
  2. All requested funds must be matched and awarded in the 2024-2025 Academic year.
  3. School verification of criteria, income, financial hardship and residency of applicants.
  4. Schools must have a support strategy for students from low-income families to ensure they are supported in navigating graduate school.
  5. Once the schools have identified recipients, the Community Benefit Team at ICP will review applications to ensure these funds meet Community Benefit requirements.
