The Discovery Program is designed to expose local high school students to health careers and inspire the next generation of leaders. During this two-week program, students will take part in interactive health careers activities within each of the schools at Loma Linda University, learn from inspiring mentors, and connect with their peers. Select students (ages 17 1⁄2 and older) will be considered to shadow health professionals during the third and final week of the program.
Discovery 2024 Dates
- Mandatory Orientation: July 14, 2024
- Program: July 15-26, 2024
- Health Careers Shadowing (ages 17.5+): July 29 - August 1, 2024
Application Requirements
The following items are required for complete submission:
1. Completed application form
2. Personal essay
3. Recommendation Link to be completed by a teacher or pastor (see attached, visit link)
4. $30 non-refundable application fee:
- Payment can be made via credit card or check. Card payments can be made via phone by calling our office at (909)651-5011 or in person at 24945 Mound St, Councilors Student Pavilion, Room 1402 Loma Linda, CA 92354.
- Please indicate on the application if you would like to be considered for application fee assistance.
